Job Description
Nirvana Canada is looking for an IT Development Manager who will be in charge of overseeing the development and implementation of software and technology solutions within the company. You will be managing a talented team of developers and ensure that projects are delivered on time, within the budget, and meet the organization's requirements.
Major responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
~ Responsible for promoting a culture of continuous improvement within the development team, providing opportunities for professional growth, and exploring ways to optimize development processes and methodologies.
~ Working in collaboration with project managers, clients, and other relevant departments within the company to facilitate effective communication, provide project updates, and manage expectations.
~ Implementing quality assurance processes and overseeing testing and debugging activities
~ Establishing and enforcing development standards and practices to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions.
~ Anticipating technical challenges, managing dependencies, and developing contingency plans to minimize disruptions.
~ Develop budgets for development projects, allocating resources effectively, considering factors like team capacity, project priorities, and cost constraints.
~ Staying up to date with the latest tools, frameworks and trends in the software development industry.
~ Evaluate new technologies and assess their potential to improve existing systems.
~ Performing a requirement analysis and analyzing technological requirements, identifying potential solutions, and determining the best course of action for development projects.
~ Leading the development team, assigning tasks, setting project milestones, and monitoring progress.
~ Ensuring that projects are executed effectively, and any issues or roadblocks are addressed promptly.
Education
Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering or business admin or management or commerce or equivalent experience would be an asset
