Cotter’s Ocean Products, has been specializing in the sale and distribution of live and processed lobster in Lockeport, Shelburne County, Nova Scotia for more than 10 years. We are currently expanding our operations to export to Asian markets and are hiring for the position of Accounting Clerk.
Position details:
Full-time position
40hrs/week
$38500/year
Your job duties include:
-Prepare, update, retrieve and reconciliate financial records;
-Manage and maintain manual and computerized financial records;
-Manage accountants receivable and payable;
-Follow-up on accounts receivable;
-Maintain and process monthly inventory with the aid of other personnel;
-Provide accounting assistance and financial reconciliation to other personnel;
-Prepare payroll;
Requirements and Skills
1-2 years of experience as in Accounting or administrative related experience;
Minimum College or Technical School Education;
Proficiency in MS Office;
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task;
Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work;
Knowledge of office management systems and procedures;
Assets:
Experience working in a company exporting products to Asia or experience working with Asian companies
Knowledge of Chinese, Korean or Japanese
