Sewing machine operator /NOC code 9446
Alma Bridal is seeking a sewing machine operator to conduct all the duties of the position. We are looking for an individual who is efficient and comfortable being a member of a team.

Hourly rate: $ 26.50 CAD
Main Duties
• Operate industrial sewing machines to sew fabric, ultra soft or synthetic fabric to produce or repair garments and other articles
• Operate fur sewing machines to join fur pelt strips to the required size and shape and join pelts into garment sections or shells
• Operate surging machines to sew and overcast edges of material simultaneously
• Operate tackers, pocket setters, buttonhole makers and fusing, hemmer, and other machines to perform various operations in the fabrication of garments and other articles
• Record accurately the materials used, maintenance performed, and number of pieces completed during each shift, keeping each of these metrics within target ranges
• Assisting customers in fitting dresses which are made or altered
• Draw threads through needles and adjust machine functions to meet the requirements of the sewing project
• Ensure that the finished product conforms to the design and merchandising instructions provided in the work order
• Monitor machines for symptoms of metal fatigue or motor failure, and may have to perform minor repairs on the spot
Qualifications & skills:
• At least secondary school education
• Experience in operating sewing machine( 1-2year)
