Summary:
Moonga Sashimi is Edmonton’s newest and trendiest sushi bar. We specialize in Japanese cuisine including a traditional omakase multi-course tasting. Our menu changes every week and we pride ourselves on serving only the freshest fish prepared with homemade sauces and accompaniments. We’ve been open since 2017 and are proud to serve Edmonton and area. As our business continues to grow, we are currently seeking enthusiastic Kitchen Helpers to join our team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Wash, cut, prepare, and measure ingredients;
- Operate deep fryer and simple kitchen equipment;
- Package foods for take-away;
- Clean work tables, kitchen equipment and pots, and storage area;
- Unpack, sort, and keep fresh produce and dry goods in order;
- Remove trash, sweep, mop, and ensure kitchen is clean and sanitary;
- Clear and clean tables, wash dishes and glassware; and
- Assist Sushi Chefs and other restaurant staff as needed.
Job Requirements:
- Some high school education required
- Experience working in kitchen an asset
- Experience working with seafood and raw ingredients an asset
- Must be able to stand, walk, crouch, and lift light loads for extended periods of time
Compensation:
- $15.50 - $17.00/hour + gratuities
