Specific Skills
• Maintain work records and logs
• Communicate with customers to arrange times for shipments and schedule deliveries
• Monitor and keep track of all workloads and locations; oversee track of shipments
• Advise truck drivers of traffic and other problems
• Dispatch personnel according to schedules and work orders
• Knowledge of cross border dispatching regulations and practices
• Understanding of highway trucking and associated rules and regulations
• Utilize dispatching equipment including radios
• Record mileage, fuel use, repairs and other expenses
• Reviewing driver’s logs, including dispatched calls and arrival times,
• Schedule assignments and co-ordinate activities of truck drivers and equipment
• Monitoring truck repairs and maintenance schedules,
