Pakhavelly Grill Restaurant in Mississauga, is looking for 4 full-time Ethnic Food Cooks with 1-2 years of commercial cooking experience or the equivalent in combined experience and training. Experience making South Asian Pakistani food is a major asset as we are an Ethnic Pakistani Restaurant. These are full-time positions (30-60 hours/week) that may require working late evening and weekend shifts Successful applicants should be friendly, dedicated, reliable, and efficient, and will be required to perform the following duties:
• Prepare and cook Pakistani cuisine (hot & cold) using store recipes and as instructed by the manager including South Asian dishes like biryani, Haleem, khari, nihari, paya, seekh kabab and making Tandoori bread / Naan.
• Make Tandoori Naan / bread properly.
• Prepare food precisely in a timely manner, ensuring its quality consistently meets the standard.
• Schedule and supervise kitchen helpers. May train kitchen staff.
• Maintain inventory of food, supplies, and equipment, and order more stock as needed.
• Report maintenance issues to a supervisor; in their absence, arrange necessary repairs.
• Keep the kitchen & work area clean in compliance with food safety standards.
• Perform related work as required
