Job Description
· Load, unload, and move building supplies
· Clean and lubricate cranes or other construction machinery
· Set up and take down barricades, ramps, scaffolding, concrete forms, and catwalks
· Train other employees
· Assist electricians and painters, as required
· Mix, pour and spread materials
· Support other heavy equipment operators
· Contribute to building houses and roofs
· Level ground according to specifications
· Perform routine maintenance work
· Prevent spilling chemicals or other contaminants
· Remove garbage/ debris at construction sites
· Maintain machines or equipment
· Follow health and safety regulations

Responsibilities
Tasks
· Load, unload and transport construction materials
· Clean and lubricate cranes
· Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks shoring and barricades
· Instruct apprentices
· Mix, pour and spread materials
· Assist heavy equipment operators
· Assist in framing houses, erecting walls and building roofs
· Level earth to fine grade specifications
· Pave and rake asphalt
· Clean and pile salvaged materials
· Perform routine maintenance work
· Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants
· Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
· Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction
· Direct traffic at or near construction sites
· Read and interpret blueprints
