Job Description

· Analyze present staffing requirements and design advertisements, posts and keep and review applications received

· Explain job applicants on requirements, terms, and conditions of the position/ vacancy

· Contact applicant who meet the requirements for interview

· Enroll college, university, and other educational institutions for recruitment purposes

· Assist in selecting and evaluating candidates with the designated authority/person

· Update applicants with the results after the entire selection process

· Make job offers/contracts

· Guide managers or employees on staffing approach

· Conduct staff consultation and handle grievance procedures

· Settle disputes and synchronize termination process of employment

· Organize training of staff and updates on assistance of employee and counselling

Job Requirements:
Languages
English

Education
College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years

Experience
1 year to less than 2 years

Responsibilities
Tasks
· Identify current and prospective staffing requirements
· Prepare and post notices and advertisements
· Collect and screen applicants
· Advise job applicants on employment requirements and terms and conditions of employment
· Review candidate inventories
· Contact potential applicants to arrange interviews
· Recruit graduates of colleges, universities and other educational institutions
· Co-ordinate and participate in selection and examination boards to evaluate candidates
· Notify applicants of results of selection process and prepare job offers
· Advise managers and employees on staffing policies and procedures
· Organize and administer staff consultation and grievance procedures
· Negotiate settlements of appeals and disputes and co-ordinate termination of employment process
· Determine eligibility to entitlements and arrange staff training
· Provide information or services such as employee assistance, counselling and recognition programs
· Supervise personnel clerks performing filing, typing and record-keeping duties
