Reporting to the Liquor Store Manager, the successful candidate will:
Supervise the daily store management, ensuring adherence to merchandising standards, marketing efforts, and housekeeping standards;
Be professional, friendly and courteous in the work environment and in customer service;
Be responsible for ordering products and supplies according to the departments needs;
Ensure claims, invoices and all other paper work is done timely, accurately and meets policy and procedure;
Assist the manager in scheduling staff according to sales needs, when required;
Provide support for team members through on the job training;
Be responsible for the adherence and enforcement of Meadow Lake Co-op Policies & Procedures and the asset protection program;
Be responsible for the adherence to Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority (SLGA) operating guidelines;
Ensure confidentiality regarding pricing, financial and marketing strategies, and Human Resources information;
Other duties as assigned.
Who you are:
You have the ability to work independently and take direction when required;
You have previous retail experience;
Experience with wine, spirits and beer in a retail setting is not compulsory but is an asset;
Preference will be given to applicants with SIRS Certification and applicants willing to take. It will be paid by the Co-op;
Applicants must be available to work mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends. You must be flexible;
Applicants must be at least 19 years of age;
Ability to lift up to 50lbs unassisted.
