F/T Drywall Tapers are required for AWSCIT Constructions Ltd. located at 18515 53 Avenue, suite 101 Surrey, BC, V3S 7A4., Canada. If you are self-motivated, a good team player and willing to work in fast paced environment here is an excellent chance to move forward and grab the opportunity.
Position: Drywall Taper (Permanent/Full Time)
No of Vacancies: 3 Positions.
Salary: $28.00 hourly for 30 - 40 hours/week.
Education: Secondary education required.
Start Date of Employment (approx.): As soon as possible.
Language Requirements: Must be able to communicate in English.
Experience: 1 year of experience is required.
Essential Skills: Able to work in fast paced environment, be physically able to handle heavy equipment.
Job Duties:
• Clean and prepare surfaces, mix compounds, and apply, level and smooth plaster and seal joints.
• Use appropriate tools and allow coat to dry and sand it after drying.
• Apply successive coats of compound and repair cracks and holes due to damages.
• Protect exterior corners by installing metal corner beads.
• Tape over joints using taping machine and embed tape in compound.
• Spray acoustic materials over walls and ceilings finishing corners and angles.
• Work collaboratively between departments for efficiency.
