Salary: $77,001.60 - $110,000 CAD per annum

Duties:
• Serve as a Junior sales trader working with one of our execution coverage teams, with the goal of growing into a sales trader covering your own book of accounts
• Work closely with senior traders and experts from other groups learning all aspects of sales and trading
• Assist in preparation of client presentations, market structure information, etc
• Liaison with back and middle office as well as sales trading, confirm and reconcile trades both domestic & international
• Collect financial and investment information about companies, stocks using economic forecasts, trading volumes, financial periodicals, securities manuals, company financial statements and other financial reports and publications
• Prepare company, industry and economic outlooks, analytical reports, briefing notes and correspondence for internal use.
Requirements:
• BA/BS degree (or equivalent) in Economics from an accredited university
• 2+ years of relevant finance experience; sales and trading experience preferred
• Excellent communication/interpersonal skills
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills a must
• Must be able to take initiative by seeking out organizational challenges to solve and deliver results
• Strong academic record
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills (coding skills are a plus)
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently while functioning as part of a team
• An overall interest in the financial industry, finance related products, and trading technology
• A high degree of initiative, motivation, and attention to detail
• Track record of superior performance in extracurricular or professional activities
• Experience in client/customer facing role is a plus
