Title of the position: Cook - NOC 63200
Number of positions available: Four.
Term of employment: 35h to 40h per week – full time – permanent position.
Language: English.
Wage: C$15.50 per hour.
Benefits: Extended Health and Dental benefits will be offered after 6 months of continuous employment.

Job Duties
• Responsible for the set-up, maintenance and the cleaning of the counter and refrigerators in the kitchen station.
• Know the detailed cooking procedures
• Prepare plates according to set standards
• Responsible for the execution, quality and presentation of every plate
• Know the procedure for set-up
• Know and apply the procedures for good hygiene and food safety practices
• Be vigilant with the set up and with the Kitchen Manager, see to the inventory they use and must suggest to the Kitchen Manager a list(s) of these items to purchase.
• In the execution of their job know and use the following:
1. Procedures for set-up
2. The lists of cleaning tasks
3. Authorized replacements and substitutions in the Cannon’s concept
4. The good hygiene and food safety practices
5. Procedures to date and identify the products
6. The equipment and how to safely use them
7. Understand the use of the tools available for the position
• Responsible for the cleanliness of their tools and the service areas.
• Ensure Proper rotation of the food while following the FIFO method
• Understand and use the tools available for their position
• Must do their preparations daily and verify their inventory according to the preparation lists.
• Perform all tasks which are asked of him by the Kitchen Manager
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements
• 1 to 2 years experience as a cook.
• High School Diploma.
• Familiar with industry best practices.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.
• Organizational skills.
• Accuracy and speed in executing tasks.
• Ability to work as a team member.
• Follow direction and instructions.
