ABOUT THE POSITION:

Come join our amazing and passionate team as an Accounting Manager at our Surrey office.

The Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the organization, including performing financial functions related to the maintenance of the accounting system ensuring strong internal controls; responsible for monthly reconciliations, analysis and reporting of the company's financial operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
~ Manage the accounting department of the organization
~ Aid management/decision makers in forecasting business revenue
~ Monitor taxes and provide details for audits
~ Assume a lead role in development and implementation of new or modifications to existing accounting systems to ensure correct financial implications of all transactions and appropriate levels of internal control are maintained.
~ Maintains the day-to-day banking relationships, including compliance reporting
~ Ensure contracts are properly administered in accordance with contract terms
~ Prepare budgets by establishing schedules and consolidating financial data.
~ Guide financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, enforcing policies and procedures and financial controls.
~ Assist in year-end planning, audit preparation, schedules, working papers and reconciliations.
~ Prepare monthly management reports, expenditure and cost analysis.
~ Provides training and guidance for junior staff members and reviews their work as required.
~ Oversee the month-end closing process to ensure the completion of procedures in an accurate and timely manner including the review of variance analysis of the monthly financial statements
~ Manage and maintain all accounting documentation around policies and procedure
~ Manage customer accounts, including processing invoices promptly, and ensuring all customers remain informed on their outstanding debts and deadlines
~ Formulate and implement an appropriate system of policies and procedures to support the firm's growth strategies while ensuring data integrity
~ Ensure policies and processes are well documented, applied consistently and broadly understood
~ Perform, supervise and manage timely and accurate monthly financial close
~ Perform variance analysis and trend analysis to identify areas for improvement for the clients
~ Review reconciliations, journal entries and other working papers prepared by the accounting team.
~ Manage year-end review queries and information requests for the clients and firm.
~ Ensure all government and regulatory compliance returns are submitted in a timely manner.

WHAT WE ARE OFFERING:
~ A competitive salary Pay: $58 per hour
~ Full-time position (40 hours/week) working Monday to Friday
~ Two weeks paid vacation

EDUCATION
~ Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or commerce or business administration or related field is required.
~ Strong working knowledge of accounting principles, financial statements, and accounting systems

EXPERIENCE
~ 3-5 years of work experience in accounting, budgeting, financial analysis or other related financial activities are required.
