Position: Principal – Head of Energy Transition Services North America

Salary: $216,118 CAD per annum

Duties:
Business Development
• Preparation of pitches & acquisition of new clients (automotive OEMs, Technology manufacturer, Charge Point operator, utilities)
• Project scope discussions with new and existing clients
• Lead qualification & proposal development
• Contracting of new projects
• Participate on major energy transition events (fairs, conferences, trade shows, …) and present the company and services
• Development of new consulting services based on market developments & internal capabilities
Project Execution
• Lead & oversee projects in the energy transition field with focus on electric mobility, hydrogen & power grids
• Technical assessment/analysis of future charging sites for electric vehicles
• Analyzing local data concerning the construction and operation costs as well as regulatory framework
• Technical layout of charging parks for electric trucks depending on customer use cases and local conditions
• On-site prototype development in charging solutions with local stakeholder
• Analyzing intelligent charging park solutions with new regulation schemes and technologies
• Consulting external customers on-site for charging park layout process
• Formulation of multi-criterial mathematical optimization problems and solve them with technical solving software
• Development of hydrogen strategies along the production and transportation value chain
Management
• Establishment of the company objectives and brand for ETS in North America
• Demand analysis & job description development
• Qualifying & hiring of new employees and selecting middle managers
• Onboarding of new hires
• Building an Energy Transition Services (ETS) competence team
• Mentoring employees
• Creation of Objective letters for all ETS employees
• Yearly performance review with all ETS employees
• Participate in Leadership calls/meetings for alignment on strategic direction and company performance
• Work closely together with the German counterparts to transfer knowledge & services to North America
Requirements:
• Ability to speak German (to network with the German counterparts and transfer services)
• 8-10 years of experience in technical consulting (e-Mobility/power grid)
• M.Sc. degree in electrical engineering or similar from a top University (preferred incl. some business courses)
• Broad network of clients in the utility, eMobility industry
