Position: Manufacturing Technician

Salary: $48,000 CAD per annum

Duties:
• Using hand tools and equipment to cut and fit plastic and metal materials to help shape and complete the LounGenie product.
• Buffing and trimming plastic parts of the LounGenie in order to complete the final product.
• Managing the workshop and warehouse environment to maintain efficient and safe workflow.
• Leveraging expertise in fabrication processes to achieve company goals in efficiency and productivity.
• Making adjustments to the LounGenie up until the time of packaging and exporting.
• Establishing and managing quality control, inspecting products for defects to achieve company standards.
• Preparing quality control reports on products inspected and ensuring they are maintained and integrated into proprietary inventory management software.
• Interfacing with key internal departments and stakeholders.
• Working with the various leadership teams to exploit ideas in product innovation and business efficiency.
• Inspecting and approving all plastics for production and ensuring defects are returned for repair or recycling.
• Overseeing the training of new employees.
Requirements:
• Completion of secondary school is required
• 6+ months of manufacturing and physical labour experience
• 6+ months of experience using metal drill press, oscillating sanders and electrical tools
• An understanding of plastic and metal fabrication
• Intermediate computer aptitude with data entry systems, and Microsoft Office applications such as Word and especially Excel.
• Good communication skills
• Be in possession of a valid passport with no travel restrictions. Occasional travel required about 10%
