Transmax Heavy Haul Inc., a well-known transportation company based at 702 19 Avenue, Nisku, AB – T6M 1M7 with many years of experience on the road, day to day transportation and logistics is looking for four (04) full-time, permanent Long-Haul Truck Drivers (NOC: 73300) to join their team and operate trucks across Canada and the USA.
Minimum Requirements:
• Education: Completion of high school is required.
• Experience: No experience is required; on-the-job training will be provided.
• Language: Basic knowledge of English.
Note: Any further higher education or previous related experience would be considered an asset.
License:
• Must have a Class 1, A, or equivalent driving license, or be eligible to obtain one.
• Air brake endorsement (Z) is required.
Cargo Types: General Freight, Logs, Poles, Beams, Lumber, Building Materials, Intermodal containers, Paper products.
Work Locations: Various locations across Canada and the USA, depending on business contracts and orders.
Compensation & Benefits:
• $28.85/hr for 40-60 hours per week + 4% vacation pay on each scheduled paycheck.
• Five days of sick leave per year.
• Other benefits as per the BC Employment Standards Act.
Job Responsibilities:
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials to their destination.
• Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
• Load and unload cargo.
• Ensure all safety procedures are followed for transportation of goods.
• Ensure the safety and security of cargo.
• Plan trip logistics and obtain required documentation for transporting goods.
• Perform roadside repairs if required.
• Drive independently or in a team of two persons.
• Record cargo information, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
