Duties:
• Managing development and implementation of quality policies in compliance with customer requirements, codes, and standards
• Participating in the establishment of methods to meet work schedules and coordinating work activities with other departments
• Auditing, Identifying, investigating, correcting, and documenting potential quality, environmental and safety problems
• Monitoring changes to Westinghouse global QMS and maintaining alignment of the Canadian program
• Requisitioning materials and supplies as they relate to the customer requirements ensuring that a high level of nuclear safety standards are met and maintained
• Ensuring quality program changes are communicated and implemented throughout the organization
• Training staff in job duties, quality procedures and company policy
• Interfacing with industry organizations and influencing appropriate industry quality changes
• Interfacing effectively with representatives from all levels of the customer organization
• Resolving work problems and recommending measures to improve productivity and product quality
• Leading the corrective action program for Canada
• Recommending, resolving, and implementing solutions to quality problems
• Preparing production and other reports for own area of responsibility
• Overseeing the Use of Experience data program for Canada
• Implementing quality assurance best practices through continuous improvement
• Developing department budget and controlling expenditures to remain within budget
• Ensuring staff are appropriately trained and managing employee performance to achieve departmental goals and objectives
• Developing, implementing, and maintaining quality indoctrination training and other education programs
• Performing internal and external audits, project audits, management assessments and acting as an approver on various material purchases
• Compiling quality performance data for annual management review
• Coordinating the activities involved with the bids/proposals, preparation of work execution and coagulating quality documents to ensure that all customer requirements are met or exceeded

Requirements:
• College diploma and/or three years in a nuclear/infrastructure environment, preferably in Quality or a technical field
• 5+ years of experience in the nuclear industry
• Required: Authorized Nuclear Inspector or Nuclear Inspector Certification or qualification
• Preferred: Lean, Six Sigma Certification or Qualification
• Knowledge of Access Databases, control of Excel
• Familiarity with Codes & Standards such as CANDU related ASME codes: Section III, CSA N285.0, CSA N299, US 10CFR50 Appendix B and ISO 9001
• Eligible to become an NAQ-1 qualified Lead auditor and/or an ISO 9001 certified lead Auditor by a recognized accreditation organization
