Raffles Road Carriers Ltd. is a long haul transportation company looking for a Freight forwarding technician for its Calgary, Alberta location.
The person must be able to perform these duties efficiently:
Establish work schedules and procedures
Prepare and submit reports
Maintain work records and logs
Resolve work related problems
Consult with production supervisor to schedule production runs in a cost and time-efficient manner
Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies
Dispatch personnel according to schedules and work orders
Knowledge of cross border dispatching regulations and practices
Knowledge of highway trucking and associated rules and regulations
Operate computer-aided communications and dispatching equipment
Record mileage, fuel use, repairs and other expenses
Schedule assignments and co-ordinate activities of vehicle operators, crews and equipment
