Atlantican General Trading, NL is hiring an experienced Web Designer (NOC 21233).
Position: Web Designer
Wage: C$29 per hour
Working Hours: 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
Vacation Pay: 4% vacation pay of each gross payroll
Term of Employment: Full-time, Permanent
Work Location: Mount Pearl, NL
Language: English
Requirements:
• A bachelor’s degree or college diploma in computer science, web design, graphic design, or a related field is required.
• 1+ years of prior experience in web design, graphic design, or a related field
• Knowledge of HTML and CSS
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
• Experience with WordPress
• Solid understanding of design principles
• A strong portfolio showcasing diverse projects and demonstrating design skills
Job Duties:
• Set guidelines in design principles to create a visually appealing, user-friendly, and informative website.
• Define standards in visual elements typography, colour, and layout to ensure consistency and maintain a cohesive brand identity.
• Ensure that website is responsive across various devices and screen sizes, facilitating a consistent user experience.
• Design graphics, icons, logos, and other visual assets to enhance the aesthetics and branding of the website.
• Incorporate interactive elements and components into the website design to enhance its functionality.
• Generate and enhance content for the website, including text, images, videos, infographics, and other multimedia elements.
• Conduct regular checks to ensure that the website content is error-free, up-to-date, and functioning correctly across different browsers and devices.
• Collaborate with web developer to ensure design concepts are implemented correctly and technical considerations are addressed.
