Battlefords Concern for Youth is expanding its staff to better accommodate an increasing need for our services for children and youth in the Battlefords. We are currently seeking a full time Mentor.
Job Description: The Mentor will provide one on one and small group mentorship to children and youth ages 5 ? 19 years. The position requires a team player who can collaborate to develop and deliver programs to children and youth in mentorship as well as to youth in the community. Program development will be created in response to input from youth. Programs must be inclusive, provide life skills and opportunities to participate in both physical and creative activities. Hours of work are late afternoon/evenings with potential for some weekend options. The position requires the successful candidate to have a valid driver?s license and the ability to transport clients in a reliable vehicle. A Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Check and Clean Driver?s Abstract are mandatory. You will be required to maintain confidential notes and provide regular written reports. Familiarity with child, youth and family resources and support services/agencies in the Battlefords would be an asset.
