Target Transport Ltd. a well-known transportation company based at 12573 108th Ave, Surrey, BC, V3T 2H7 with many years of experience on the road, day to day transportation and logistics is looking for three (03) full-time, permanent Long-Haul Truck Drivers (NOC: 73300) to join their team and operate trucks across Canada and the USA.
Minimum Requirements:
• Education: Completion of Secondary school is required.
• Experience: No experience is required; on-the-job training will be provided.
• Language: Basic knowledge of English.
Note: Any further higher education or previous related experience would be considered an asset.
License:
• Must have a Class 1, A, or equivalent driving license, or be eligible to obtain one.
• Air brake endorsement (Z) is required.
Work Locations: Various locations across Canada and the USA, depending on business contracts and orders.
Compensation & Benefits:
• $28.60/hr for 50 hours per week + 4% vacation pay on each scheduled paycheck.
• Five days of sick leave per year.
• Other benefits as per the BC Employment Standards Act.
Job Responsibilities:
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials to their destination.
• Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
• Load and unload cargo.
• Ensure all safety procedures are followed for transportation of goods.
• Ensure the safety and security of cargo.
• Plan trip logistics and obtain required documentation for transporting goods.
• Perform roadside repairs if required.
• Drive independently or in a team of two people.
• Record cargo information, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
• Must be able to drive for long-haul.
• Be in touch with the dispatcher to update the status of dispatch.
